Many of us people live our lives as if nothing bad is going to happen to us...You sit and watch the news and hear of someone getting stabbed or shot down and murdered. Or you hear of a man, woman or child gone missing and you think to yourself "wow, poor family or poor person" and as quickly as the news story is over you have forgotten what you have just watched...Because we all tend to live in our own fantasy that we can not be touched by such an evil existence that lurks in every dark shadow of our lives..Many of us are fortunate to not experience such tragedy. And I hope that when you stand there and realize that you are fortunate to have not had to bare witness to these horrifying events you can find empathy within yourself for those who have been forced to face these kinds of demons....
All of us, including the people who have not seen the worst kinds of actions, human beings are capable of, wish that we could view life at the other end of some rainbow...Only then do you wish that life was really made up of beautiful rainbows and lemon drops, with blue birds flying free to a place beyond our own imagination..
Our true colors are unfortunately not made up of all the beautiful colors of the rainbow once a person has seen terror..They are made up of a complex blend of dark, grey and dull blended with the bright, white and bold colors...We aren't always allowed to see someones true colors..We are only given a brief glimpse into what a person bares in their soul..Sometimes we see the dark, the grey or the dull and at times we see the brighter, the whiter, the bolder side of a person..Never do we see a persons true colors at one time.. only what they want us to see.....
We can continue to hide behind our sad eyes or the darkness that makes us a prisoner within ourselves.. Instead of waiting for the courage to come to us, we can find the courage within ourselves and allow the beauty that we hide so deep come to the surface and shine on oneself for others to see....
